Tigers Face Mabank on
Homecoming
The Mabank Panthers come to town
for homecoming this Friday night. There are a lot of similarities
between the two teams, but the biggest difference is that Corsicana won
it's district opener while Mabank fell to Ennis.
Both teams enter Friday's game
with an overall record of 3-3. Both teams are looking to return to
the playoffs and both teams have a dynamic running back to attack opposing
defenses with. Mabank's Brandon Carter is leading the district in
rushing for the season with 998 yards and Tiger fans can expect him to
carry the load for the Panthers. The Tiger defense stepped up
against Lancaster to record their second shutout of the season and will be
looking to stuff the Panther rushing attack forcing them into passing
situations.
On offense, the Tigers will be
looking to exploit a Mabank defense that gave up 49 points in their
district opener to Ennis. Last week, the Tigers went with the tried
and true offense of running, running, and more running.
The Tigers will be trying to get
their record over the .500 mark for the first time since the season opener
so we encourage all Tiger fans to come out and support the Tigers on
homecoming night!
