Undefeated Terrell On Deck

This Friday will be the biggest game of the Tigers season so far and will also present the biggest challenge to date.  The undefeated and #7 in the state Terrell Tigers await the Tigers in the first of two pivotal games.

Terrell will present the Tiger offense with a formidable challenge as they haven't let an opposing offense score more than 13 points in any game this year.  Last week they shutout Lancaster in a wet game and like Corsicana have only allowed 7 points total so far in district play.  After demonstrating a wide open attack in non-district, the Tigers have since returned to their old standby - a power running game - and it's worked well as last week both Clarence Robinson and Whitney McDade eclipsed the 100 yard mark which is a testament not only to their abilities but to the progress the offensive line has made this year.  The Tiger passing game will get a boost this week with the return of Tyjuan Manning who provided a playmaking threat opposite of Jon Bauer.

On defense, the Tigers should be very familiar with what they will face as seniors Shawn Ashley and Adrian Turner faced the Tigers last season.  Ashley is an efficient and effective passer who had an excellent game against Corsicana last season.  Last week the Tigers faced a running back who has now rushed for over 1000 yards and Turner will make this two weeks in a row for the Tigers.

Terrell and Corsicana have had some great battles in the past few years and this one is shaping up as another great contest.  Come to Terrell and support the Tigers!
