Final Game A Must Win For Tigers

The Tigers travel to Red Oak on Friday in a game they must win in order to make the playoffs.  Both teams are 2-2 in district play so the winner will be District 16-4A's Division One representative.

Red Oak has surprised some by going 6-3 on the season so far after winning only one game all of last season, so the Hawks will be highly motivated to validate their turnaround with a playoff appearance.  The Tigers will be looking to avoid having Corsicana's first losing season since 1978.

On offense, Red Oak is led by Sr A.J. Edwards who has rushed for more than 1200 yards on the season and is the district's second leading rusher.  The Tiger front seven will need to play one of their best games in order to the Hawk rushing game which also features talented runners in FB Aaron Mckinley and QB Charley Duncan.

When the Tigers have the ball, they will look to continue the momentum gained in their explosive output against Ennis last week.  Daniel Orr had the best game of his career as he totaled almost 400 yards of total offense.  Tyjuan Manning reemerged last week as a big play receiver as he had 5 catches for over 130 yards against the Lions.

This is a huge game for the Tigers and it offers the team a shot at redemption for what has been a disappointing season so far.  If the Tigers win, all the losses will be erased as they enter the playoffs.  The team needs the fans support, so come to Red Oak, and cheer - cheer loud.
